Our Programmes
OUR APPROACH.
Young people are not problems to be fixed. They are leaders, creatives and change-makers.
In 2025 alone, we supported 2,384 young people, many from communities facing the highest levels of deprivation. 89% told us they felt more supported in recognising the early signs of poor mental health. 100% said they gained a better understanding of mental health.

But the real impact is in their words:

“I’m so glad I got help when I did… I want people to know, it can get better for them, because it did for me.”
“I want to create a safe space where people feel comfortable and free to speak up.”

We exist to build that space.

Our programmes are co-designed with young people and clinicians, rooted in culture, lived experience and real-world need. Young people shape what we deliver, how we deliver it and the systems we challenge.
This is not about talking at young people. It is about standing alongside them, amplifying their voices and building support that feels relevant, accessible and empowering.

Mental Health Resilience & Prevention Programme (4 weeks)
Our flagship programme delivered to thousands of children and young people across the North West!

In this 4 week programme, young people understand and develop tools that can be used to prevent worsening of mental health. With one of our near-peer facilitators, we work around understanding what mental health is, and what can be done to improve it.

This is best delivered over 4 weeks and can be flexibly delivered in multiple settings.

Our clinicians ensure that our content is in line with the national guidelines, regularly updated and monitored. This ensures that what we do is professional and well delivered.

Past Programmes
Be Free Campaign is a reactive charity committed to supporting our community, providing timely mental health and wellbeing support in response to local and national events. Including response to the 2024 Southport riots, 2025 LFC parade incident and support for young people looking for employment, education or training.

Riot Response Hub
In 2024 we saw violence and incitement of hatred across the UK causing distress and taking a toll on mental health across the population.

In response, the Be Free Campaign delivered a virtual Riot Response Hub supporting people of colour and marginalised communities affected by racial violence across Merseyside and the UK.

The programme brought together local and national mental health support services, with guidance from Be Free clinicians and limited in-house counselling where appropriate. Support was available to adults and young people aged 13+.

This initiative complemented, but did not replace, NHS or other ongoing mental health care.
