TRYING OUT

We spend alot of our days doing things that we have done countless times, wether we'd like to admit it or not. The instances where we spontaneously decide to do something different whilst wanting to capture a unique moment in our lives is rare.

Having a monotonous routine can become so familiarised that we tend to lose track of the fact that we tend to drift through life. Even though we live in a large world with over 7 billion people, 200 countries, thousands of languages and unique experiences, we tend to stick to what we know. This causes us to feel stagnant in life sometimes.

WHY TRY OUT?

CAN HELP US OVERCOME FEAR

In most occasions, the main obstacle that stops us from trying new things. We don't realise that this fear that we face is a minor speed bump between yourself and the experience that you'd like to try. Our mind sometimes tends to exaggerates things once you end up trying things, and the fear tends tends to shrink.

STIMULATES CREATIVITY

People who are creative always continue to take risks and try new things. When you try new things that will force you to think in new ways that you might not have had to before. This can help you to think about things in life through a different lens.

HELPS YOU TO GET TO KNOW YOURSELF BETTER

It might be strange to think that you might not know yourself as well as you think you did. We think we know ourselves so well, but life constantly puts us in new situations and we tend to surprise ourselves with the things that we discover about ourselves. The more new things we try, the more we discover new things about ourselves.

How can i try out?

Learn a new sport.

Instead of doing the same old exercise routine, why not try a new sport to challenge yourself in ways you haven't done before? This can be outdoors or indoors, by yourself or a team sport!

Try a new class.

Trying a class of something you haven't done before gives you a safe space to make mistakes whilst connecting to the community as well. Examples include taking a dance class, language class or a cooking class!

Visit new places.

There's lots to do locally, as a group or by yourself. Trying out new cuisines, museums and/or exhibitions or simply walking or riding your bicycle locally is enough to release endorphins that can make you happier.

Try to make something!

Making new things, such as a photo album, inventing a new recipe or arts and crafts pushes you outside your comfort zone and stimulates your creativity!
